Raising a couple girls was such an overwhelming responsibility and so troubling trying to avoid mistakes. I certainly didn't look forward to the boys that were sure to eventually come knocking on my door. There was always the concern to protect them without sheltering them so they were free to learn by their mistakes and gain their strength through their encounters.
But now I've got a different job! I guess I kind of always thought I'm supposed to spoil these grandchildren but quite the opposite happens. With my kids, I was so busy working and striving to support them that I didn't always give them all the time they were requesting. With these grandchildren that method has gone out the window. My work for the day stops as soon as they come home, especially the twins, as my concentration for any work just melts as does my heart.
This is some of the background for why I would start a business.. to support others in their needs in raising kids and grandkids. I want to supply stuff at more than reasonable prices (inexpensive without being cheap) that helps other families. This forum might be a way of contributing to that as well.
